This exhibition offers a thematic journey dedicated to the influence of literature on the work of Pablo Picasso
Pablo Picasso was a discreet but insatiable reader. He was inspired throughout his life of reading and stimulated his imagination in contact with the written word.
His personal library (part of the library is on display at the National Museum Picasso-Paris), reveals the importance of narrative in the artist's creative process.
This exhibition offers a unique insight into his imagination and allows a cultural approach to his creation.
Nusch Eluard in the spotlight, from March 24 to September 20, 2020
Characterized by her laughter and beauty, Nusch (1906 - 1946) is the muse of surrealism
and the second wife of Paul Éluard.
The "aerial creature", as Brassaï called her, captivated Pablo Picasso as did many photographers.
Nusch inspired a wide variety of portraits in which she appears fragile, fierce or elegant.
Through a series of works, this exhibition explores the artist's relationship with her model
and highlights the singular friendship
between Nusch Éluard and Picasso in the late 1930s.
